ARTISTIC STATEMENT
What is entrepreneurship? What does it look like in the Black community? Where is the representation? These seemingly simple questions changed the entire trajectory of my MBA studies. While advancing through my MBA entrepreneurial studies, I encountered many examples of entrepreneurship through case studies, readings, etc. It soon became apparent there was a lack of media representation regarding Black Americans in entrepreneurship, innovation and creative fields. This revelation changed the trajectory of my capstone project and inspired The Thread. The Thread highlights a day in the life of black creatives, entrepreneur and innovators.
