SYNOPSIS

When the script has disappeared, when the audience is gone, where are the lines between the part you play and the person you are? We are all victims of the script. We are all playing a part. 10 artists meet in a ghost theater. At the cost of each other, they grapple with love, humiliation and loss.

ARTISTIC STATEMENT

Created in this time of isolation and fear, Broken Theater is a letter to our time, born of a deep desire to connect.

One day, many years from now, I hope our daughter will watch this film and see that our bodies can tell a thousand stories of longing, risk, desire and love. I hope she sees how complicated it is to watch someone fall and fail; how difficult it is to bear humiliation, admit our contradictions, and ultimately change.

This film is for all the artists and humans who get lost in the parts they play, forget their lines, and lose their way in a dream. This is for everyone changed by the imprint of human connection.
