LOGLINE

On the eve of AJ's departure, they seek out Thalia in a final effort to rewrite the ending to their failed romance.

SYNOPSIS

A year after their turbulent break-up, AJ and Thalia meet up for a drink. AJ reveals that they’re moving back to NY, which sets off feelings in Thalia that she thought were long gone. AJ also makes a final request: one more night together before they go.

ARTISTIC STATEMENT

In January 2024, I started a conversation with myself that became the dialogue for a short script called THALIA. Intentionally titled after one of the nine muses of Apollo, Thalia, the goddess of poetry and comedy, it became a repository for how I’ve been feeling as an unemployed screenwriter, an artist who’s part of an industry that’s changing and some even say dying.
