LOGLINE
Two strangers on a remote forest-fire scorched mountain, help each other process baggage from their previous lives so they can transition to the afterlife.
SYNOPSIS
This story is a journey of two people working together to escape their prison where the stakes are eternity.
ARTISTIC STATEMENT
I am autistic and people on the spectrum don't have opportunities in the film industry. I have to make the opportunities for myself and prove to everyone that Autistics can do anything. This movie is a tribute to my 16 year old cousin who took his own life. It's a tribute to anyone who has been told you "can't". It's a tribute to the human spirit. It's the best I have to offer.
KEY CREW
Landon Ashworth - Writer/Director
I'm Landon Ashworth. I don't believe in speaking in the 3rd
person so allow me to be direct. I'm a 2E gifted autistic and
have won over a dozen best director and best screenplay
awards. I'm the only writer to win the Atlanta Film Festival and
Raindance in the same year for best screenplay. My first short
film which was about a private investigator with autism who
lives in two different worlds. It won 3 Oscar qualifying film
festivals for best picture. I have my MFA in film making and
PhD in astrophysics. I spent the first 24 years of my life
studying to be a test pilot and astronaut but NASA kept moving
the goal line. I transitioned into film making and have been a
film actor, tv commercial director, and sketch comedy director
for the past 18 years.
